Alternative Universe Ltd ("AltVerse", "we", "us", or "our") operates the AltVerse mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account we collect your email address, display name, and profile photo (if provided).

Wallet & Transaction Data: We collect information related to your in-app wallet, including virtual account details, transaction history, edition purchases, and marketplace activity.

User-Generated Content: Audio recordings submitted during Voice Match puzzles, chat messages in creator communities, and any other content you voluntarily provide.

Device & Usage Data: We automatically collect device type, operating system, app version, crash reports (via Firebase Crashlytics), and general usage analytics.

Push Notification Tokens: If you enable push notifications, we collect your device token to send you alerts about wallet credits, marketplace activity, and community updates.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To process wallet transactions and marketplace purchases
• To deliver push notifications about credits, trades, and community events
• To generate and validate puzzles for the mining experience
• To improve app performance and fix bugs (crash analytics)
• To enforce our Terms of Service and prevent fraud

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:

• Payment providers (e.g., XpressWallet) to process wallet funding via bank transfers
• Cloud infrastructure providers (Supabase, Firebase/Google Cloud) for hosting, authentication, and analytics
• Other users — your display name, profile photo, and marketplace listings are visible to other App users
• Law enforcement if required by applicable law or legal process

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account (Settings → Advanced → Delete Account), we will delete your profile and authentication data. Some transaction records may be retained for legal and financial compliance purposes.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures including:

• All data transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption
• Row-Level Security (RLS) policies on all database tables
• Server-side secret management (API keys never stored on the client)
• Authenticated webhook endpoints for payment processing

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data via your profile and wallet pages
• Correct your profile information at any time
• Delete your account from within the App (Settings → Advanced → Delete Account)
• Withdraw consent for push notifications via your device settings

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly.

8. Third-Party Services

Our App uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Supabase — Authentication, database, storage
• Firebase (Google) — Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging, Analytics

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy in the App and updating the "Last updated" date above.
